Another Chance!
Thanks to those who tried to guess the answer to my questions in the previous post which happened to be the 500th. Unfortunately none of you were correct, which is such a shame. So if you would like another chance of winning the few items I have put together below ( there could be more) then please have a go. The thread is Lizbeth cotton candy and I thought it matched the beads so well. The items are lying on a very pretty tea towel with a cupcake on - which has these words written on it 'Good things come to those who bake'
If there are two or more correct answers then I will put your names on a piece of paper and draw the winner out.
You have up until the 3rd March and I will announce the winner on 4th March.
Congratulations ! Quite a milestone, and so much tatting accomplished & shared :-)
ReplyDeleteI'LL take a shot at 12 wood types (going by their grain and colour) & you started selling them from Feb 2010, although work on designing & testing started a couple of months earlier.
All the very best for another 500
I count 9 different woods and I found a post on your blog from 11/22/2009 regarding making traditional shuttles and another that introduced the pop-a-bobbin on 2/7/10. It was fun scrolling through your blog! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteokay February 2010 and I counted 10 different kinds of wood cause of repeats. Well, what do you think?
ReplyDeleteyou started making pop-a-bobbin shuttles in 2010 and there are nine types of wood.
ReplyDeleteOk, this time I'll guess 9 different woods and ....hmmmm....2008? Unfortunately identifying wood is something I'm not good at. To me, it can look very different depending on the grain, the angle you're looking from....how smooth it is....whether it's been polished or not.... So many things make the same wood look different. :) I am curious and definitely wondering which one is which kind of wood.

Trying again: 9 different woods, and I still think that the Pop-a-Bobbins first made their appearance in February 2010!Giveaways are always fun, many thanks for celebrating your blog-versary with us.
ReplyDeleteThere are 9 types of wood shown in the photo. Although there were 10 if you count the Cherry Plum one that you kept:) "Him in the Garage" started making the pop-a-bobbin shuttles in 2010, with the first announcement being on 2/7/2010 and he started making shuttles in approximately November of 2009; the first mention of his experiments was on 11-17-2009.
ReplyDeleteI'll say 5. Everyone else's answers were much higher than mine, but I do think there are several shuttles made from one type of wood.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm going to say 11 woods and 'Im in the workshop' started making them in 2009, selling in 2010!! Good luck everyone!
ReplyDeleteMy guess is 8 kinds of woods. They are lovely, too!

ReplyDeleteI posted before but I see thirteen different woods and the shuttles started to be made in 2009, but the design was finalized in 2010.
