Time is going too fast!

Time is going so fast and  I am worried that things will not be done before I travel to the USA in September.  My parish work has increased over the last few weeks, but hopefully I will get on top of everything before too long.  I have filled in the dreaded ESTA form and so at least allowed into the USA!  Also managed to finish this doily, but very disappointed with the result, even with blocking and pressing it still does not seem to lie flat, and whats more this is the second time I have completed the last round, this blog post shows my first attempt. But as I was using a different thread I thought that was the problem.

I also managed to put a motif on the lovely bag Jane (big sister) kindly gave me.

And now testing the shuttles which are being made to take over to Tat Days. There is real tension in the garage at the moment as these and other items are being completed!

Will I have room in the suitcase for these and more?!

  1. It certainly looks just fine to me! More than just fine - lovely.

If stopped at customs, USA, just explain that you were instructed to take a shuttle in order to go to the convention... Perhaps you had misunderstood the directions?

Ah, well it's a wee bit obtuse, but at least I got a chuckle!

  2. The shuttles look great displayed like that and I've seen doilies that designers 'show off' on their blogs and they don't lie flat from the start so what hope is there if the stitch count isn't checked and checked and checked again?
Glad you found time to finish the bag - your motif looks fabulous - is it HWT by any chance?

  3. Breathtaking to see all the shuttle colors together.

  4. That doily is beautiful even if it doesn't lie perfectly flat. I don't think I would have noticed if you hadn't said.

Have a lovely time at tat days (envious sob)

  5. Lovely doily and beautiful colours.
I am sure if you just put the shuttles in your suitcase and say nothing no one will know they are there.

  9. I just can't wait to meet you and I'm so happy that you get to come to the fun that is tat days.
I'm envious that you have a sister who tats, mine while lovely and treasured, sadly does not tat.
I also hope I get to see you in the vending room before all of those lovely lavender shuttles are sold.
    Safe trip, see you soon.

  10. Your doily and bag are both pretty. You're so lucky going to Tat Days. So, um, what wood is the shuttles in about the four o'clock position, the darkish ones between the light coloured ones. They look really cool. I think I want one!
