A bit of Sparkle
I am in a jewellery making mood. This set I made following Jane's Ring of Roses bracelet pattern, using some vintage glass beads for the centres. They really sparkle, but it is difficult to capture on a photograph.
Over the last few years I have found charity shops selling broken necklaces quite cheaply considering that the beads are made of glass
Some beads are too large and heavy to use for tatting, so one day I may string them up and make a necklace for myself.
Now that's my kind of sparkle!!!! Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI love sparkly jewelry! I think I might have to go shopping for old beaded necklaces, mainly for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI had a crystal necklace just like the one in the bottom picture! - I think I still know where it is. I love your black set, it's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove your set, I bet worn on a background of a red jumper or dress would really set it sparkling. Some pretty colours showing on the crystal necklace.
ReplyDeleteVery classy looking jewelry set!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty set well done!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, and I can 'see' the sparkle! A fabulous set for the holiday season - very elegant! You've certainly been busy!
ReplyDeleteThe charity shops are fun to shop in. It's good to rescue things and so nice they can find new homes.
You have quite a bead stash, and the beads from Singapore look great on your Fall necklace.
Can't forget to mention the rope-making machine. Such excellent craftsmanship by In the Garage!
Thank you for your encouraging comments, although I like a bit of sparkle, at the moment still quite keen on using pearl beads, but saying that there is a place for both!
