Wood and Tatting
My Christmas present was finished yesterday, well my second Christmas present as the first was taken away to London by my son! This wooden lego man stands 45 cm tall and is quite heavy.
Here he is wearing a tatted necklace
A closer view of the necklace
I am very pleased with the way the necklace turned out and will be making more when I can find the pattern that I very quickly wrote out.
He's gorgeous! - and I love the necklace, he will be the perfect tatting model, and he is the strong and silent type.
ReplyDeleteSo THIS is the new man in your life. Don't let anybody steal this one!!!! LOVE the necklace. Gorgeous colour too.
ReplyDeleteOh wow I don't believe I have ever seen a wooden Lego Man! and of course love the necklace!

ReplyDeleteSuper way to show off your very pretty necklace!
Knock on wood, your necklace is so pretty ;-)
ReplyDeleteHe's so 'Majestic' looking! Just marvelous! So much talent displayed here! If word gets out about the Lego men, your husband may be inundated with orders! Hope this one stays with you!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is gorgeous - wonderful design!
Thanks Kathy, these lego men take ages to make and use a lot of wood, so we are not planning on selling them. Similar ones have been seen and go for hundreds of pounds, at the moment they are members of the family!
DeleteIt's quite pretty, I love the color! I bet it looks even nicer on you! Are you planning to share your pattern?
ReplyDeleteActually I have to admit Michelle it looks stunning on me! When I have found and written the pattern out properly I will definitely share it, might not be for a few weeks though!
DeleteThat wooden Lego man is beautiful! The necklace is gorgeous, too.

ReplyDeleteLove the wooden lego man :). The necklace is beautiful! I can see this in white with pearls as a bride's necklace :).
ReplyDeleteJenn I have already tatted a variation on this pattern - look here http://tatsheaven-churchlog.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/elegance.html
DeleteMorning Mr Le Go!! Love that necklace you're wearing... I do like strong silent men!! LOL Now please take it off and tell Sally to write out the pattern.... I'll test tat it for her if she wants me to!!! VBG
ReplyDeleteOh Funny Sue!!! That is a really kind offer to test tat it for me, especially as I am rubbish at writing out patterns, even though I have a great person to guide me!!! Let me find where I have put the scribbled out pattern first!!
DeleteWhat a gorgeous necklace!!! :)
