As I said in my last post I had another idea for a design and this one is very seasonal, and yes as Jane McLellan said there is a huge gap between the original idea and the final product, but I don't find that gap fun at all! I have worked on this particular idea all week between preparing for Holy Week and children's activities, and also having a massive Spring clean in certain areas of the house. I even spent hours removing wood dust off the freezer washing machine and surrounding areas in the garage, when 'Im in the garage was out, you have no idea what mess he makes in there to produce shuttles! So the result is these two button eggs, well I hope you recognise them as such! I showed the first one to several people but did not say what it was supposed to be and they all said it was a pendant. I was rather deflated at that, but how would they know what I was trying to design? I then came up with the second button egg. So which one should I run with?...
Yummy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely picture, your tatting matches the jars of jam.
ReplyDeleteLovely table setting. I miss sitting down to tea with friends something fierce. Perhaps we can sit outside together soon?
ReplyDeleteAh feel for you life is not easy at the moment.
DeleteLike you Sally, I've not made jam for years! If you lived nearer I could help you devour your goodies. I made some chutney last year, but nothing this as it's been too hot - that's my excuse anyway.
ReplyDeleteThis jam making is a lockdown 'must do' along with many other things that were activities of the past! Love chutney too especially in the Winter. The heat does not help!
DeleteI love raspberry jam! Now I may have to get a plane ticket. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteYou would be most welcome Tim but by then I would have eaten it all!
DeleteClever!
