The Third Day

Now this is the only snowflake that I really wanted to make from the book, it was hugely popular at one time on blogs and I thought it would be really hard to tat, but it wasn't!









As you can see I have chosen to go for a little colour as it would be so boring for me if I tatted every snowflake in white.











The Scarecrow Festival is almost here and the weather looks fine for Saturday, no more snowflakes for a few days...........................

    That snowflake is gorgeous!!! :)
    I bought the book just for that snowflake. I had seen it online somewhere in fabulous rainbow colors and it just intrigued me!!

    Your coloured flake is lovely - yes, it does seem that a particular pattern is being tatted all over the world at times! I haven't tatted many from this book, but I do remember having trouble, years ago, with December 20. Have fun with the scarecrows!

Remember, Remember, the 5th November!

In England we mark this day with bonfires and fireworks, although as the years have gone by it is less and less observed.   The reason we are called to remember the 5th November is that on this day in 1605 Guy Fawkes was caught in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament, London with several dozen barrels of gunpowder. Guy Fawkes was subsequently tried as a traitor with his co-conspirators for plotting against the  government . Which is the reason why a 'Guy' is made by stuffing newspaper into some old clothes to look like a man and then it is put on the top of the bonfire.  Remember, remember, the 5th of November The Gunpowder Treason and plot; I see of no reason why Gunpowder Treason Should ever be forgot.
