Cornelia

Cornelia is the name of this tatted Doily by Iris Niebach, from her book Tatted Doilies.

I took this project on holiday as I thought it would be quick to make, but it wasn’t. Fortunately I had enough patience to finish it on returning home and so pleased I did.

I wound  two threads together, one was sparkly but sadly the photograph hides this fact. But very pleased with the result.

  2. Wow. I’m glad you finished it, it would be a shame to leave it languishing. Really gorgeous.

    1. Thank you Diane, yes it was a challenging pattern, much more than I realised, and not really a relaxed holiday tat, but as you say well worth the effort.

  5. You did a beautiful job of tatting this. It's gorgeous! The sparkle is difficult to see in this picture, but if you scroll back to the first time you mentioned this pattern, and enlarge the picture, you CAN see the sparkle in that one.

    1. Thanks Stephanie, I did not know that the sparkle was visible at one stage. I took the first photo in the window of where we were staying so it must have been the way it caught the light.
